Using the Pinch analysis method, the energy integration of the main streams of the proposed process into the LIFE LEACHLESS project has been achieved. Using this methodology, the heat exchanged between the streams has been calculated and the minimum energy required to feed the process has been determined in order to provide heat and/or cooling to the sub-processes that need it.
It is estimated that the experimental savings achieved with the integration of processes will be 50% for heating activities.
