Last week the XXXV National Conference on Chemical Engineering was held in Salamanca (Spain). The celebration took place between the 4th and 6th of July and in this Conference there was the opportunity to analyse the past, present and future of Chemical Engineering in Spain. In addition, there were more than 50 oral contriubtions and posters of work carried out in this field.
Representatives of the LIFE LEACHLESS project were present at the Conference and contributed with an oral presentation and a poster. These contributions, entitled “Demonstration of a comprehensive system for the treatment and recovery of leachate at low energy cost”, focused on the objectives to be achieved by the LIFE LEACHLESS project and the first results obtained.

In addition, during the event, the project representatives had the opportunity to discuss the subject of leachate treatment with relevant people from the Spanish Chemical Engineering field.
